Shuttle Service

We will be providing transport to/from our various wedding events for those staying in the old city centre

Due to Siena's (beautiful) historic city walls and traffic restrictions, the pickup/drop-off point is located just outside the limited-traffic zone (ie: outside the medieval walls). This pickup/drop-off point should be a short walk from your hotel/accommodation if you are staying centrally, as Siena is very small.

Friday

  • 5:45pm: Departure from Porta San Marco ➡️ La Dama nella Vigna

  • 10:30pm: Return from La Dama nella Vigna ➡️ Porta San Marco

Saturday

  • 2:45pm: Departure from Porta San Marco ➡️ Wedding Venue

  • 1:15am & 3am (approx): Return from Wedding Venue ➡️ Porta San Marco

Sunday

  • 12pm: Departure from Porta San Marco ➡️ Wedding Venue

  • 5pm: Return from Wedding Venue ➡️ Porta San Marco

Important Notes 👀

  • It’s very safe to walk in Siena at night, so don’t worry about needing to walk from Porta San Marco back to your accommodation after the wedding.

  • Ladies, for your comfort, please bring flats/sandals for your walk to/from Porta San Marco. These will also be useful to change into later in the evening. We won’t be handing out flip-flops (as is common at some weddings), but we will have a place for guests to store things, so please feel free to bring your favourite comfy party shoes!

  • There is NO Uber nor any other taxi apps in Siena. So if you’d like to order a taxi to take your from your accommodation to Porta San Marco, please call (+39) 0577 49222. The taxis are generally very slow to arrive so pre-booking is essential to ensure that your arrive at Porta San Marco in time

  • We have hired 3 buses to transport our guests to our wedding events. Due to city space restrictions, the buses can only pull into Porta San Marco one at a time, so punctuality is essential as the next bus can’t pull in until we’ve filled up the previous bus. We appreciate your cooperation on this point 🙏 , thank you :)

Taxis

There are a number of taxi companies in Siena (and in fact, they're even allowed inside of the city walls!) so you may find it convenient to book your own journey.

However, given Siena is a small town, it's possible there won't be enough taxis to cater for everyone at the same time, so pre-booking would be required if you want to make it by dinner time 😉 The taxi booking line is also unlikely to answer at night, so please pre-book a return journey too.
